Tina is a thirteen years old girl who stowed away aboard the Argo, the first Human ship legally allowed within the enormous Betan Empire of a million worlds that stretches a thousand light years across the Cosmos. There are thousands of pirates in hundreds of illegal privateers taking advantage of the Empire’s weakness with the High Born and the Low Born locked in bitter civil war.
